Fun Fact or quote:
Was the coxswain on the rowing team in high school!
Lexi grew up in Seattle and was always very active as a child, participating in multiple sports including lacrosse, soccer and ballet. In high school she became a coxswain for the rowing team (the little person that steers and commands the boat). Recruited to the UW rowing team, she moved to Wisconsin for her undergraduate degree in Biological Systems Engineering (agricultural machinery).
She found Crossfit in 2014 and fell in love with the hardwork, variability and community. “I find it fascinating how my curiosity and eagerness to find solutions within my field has transferred so easily to my role as an athlete and coach.”
Lexi received her L1 certification in 2017 and gymnastics certification in 2019. Her favorite movements to coach are kipping bar movements (pull ups, toes to bar and muscle ups).
What you love about coaching/working at Big Dane:
“One of the reasons I love coaching is being able to see an athlete do something they thought they couldn’t do. As an athlete, I know this feeling. It’s amazing to discover what I’m capable of, but it’s even better to be a part of someone else’s journey.”
